Don't Let Today Keep You From What God Has in Store for Tomorrow

With the first word spoken, creation emerged from darkness. Every detail formed with intricacy and care. God—the God worthy of all praise—has a nature that is fundamentally creative; His role is that of a creator. Why do we as humans tend to think that God would simply cease to create when it comes to our own lives? God can and will bring anything out of nothing in our lives because He can; He is the GREAT I AM.

  Colossians 1:16  (NLT)

For Through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.

   Revelation 4:11  (NLT)

“You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory honorand power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.”

PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND AS YOU DELVE INTO THIS POST.

We live in a chaotic generation filled with confusion. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that almost everyone my age has, at some point, dealt with depression, anxiety, or uncertainty about the future. Family problems, relationship issues, body dysmorphia, and overwhelming debts all contribute to this struggle. The list goes on and on. Each of these challenges is difficult, regardless of our backgrounds. I cannot deny that it can feel overwhelming and defeating at times. When you feel like you simply can’t figure things out, here’s a game plan that is easy to implement in your daily life. It’s straightforward because, in reality, God’s plan for us is much simpler than it seems.

 A.Surrender your burdens to God-

  Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT)

28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

 B.Pray without ceasing-

  Daniel 10:12-13  (NLT)

12 Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. 13 But for twenty-one days the spirit prince[a] of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels,[b] came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia.

C. The hardest part, have faith-

  Psalm 46:1-3  (NLT)

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!

  James 1:1-4  (NLT)

2 Dear brothers and sisters,[a] when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

-As overwhelming as each day may seem. God Carries your burdens and allows you to make it to the next, days are long, but years fly by.

When I was a little girl, I dreaded the evangelical church my step-grandpa pastored, it was so long and Boring to me.  The thought that would get me through it was focusing on the fact that I knew if I forgot about the present, I would blink, and the next thing I knew, we were at lunch. I am not encouraging desensitizing yourself from your present, but if you hand over your anxiety, stress, and burdens to God instead of making it the main focus of all your thoughts. Then you're allowing God the ability to create in your life instead of taking the responsibility that was never intended for anybody besides the creator.

  Philippians 4:6-7  (NLT)

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

Notes:

We live in a very spiritual world, if you become weak and don’t hand yourself over to God, the world and its evil spirits will consume you. You will suffer as long as you think that you can handle it all on your own. I know it’s not easy to let go sometimes, but we have a God who is so much greater than any burden, He is a God of creation, miracles, and healing. Do not let the disappointments, failure, and stress eat you from the inside out. Meet God where you can and he will, meet you there. Hey, you never know what God has in store for tomorrow.

 James 4:7-10  (NLT)

7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you in honor.
